WAKE UP CALLYou Can Leave When You Want
A book by Raffie
Most of what you call “you” began forming before you were old enough to choose it.

Your beliefs.
Your expectations.
Your definitions of success.
Your relationships.
Your fears.
Your patterns.
Some are worth keeping.
Others may have already expired.
The simple explanation
What Is Wake Up Call?
I started writing this book thinking I was writing about myself. Eventually, I realized I was writing about all of us.
We inherit more than genetics. We inherit beliefs about money, love, work, faith, sex, success, relationships, responsibility, and who we're supposed to become.
Some of those beliefs help us. Some quietly control us.
Wake Up Call is a collection of observations from my own life and from decades spent watching, listening to, working with, serving, loving, arguing with, and learning from other people. It isn't about becoming someone else.
It's about examining who you already became—and consciously deciding what stays.
Wake Up Call is about learning the difference.

How much of the person you call “you” did you actually choose?
You don't have to reject everything you inherited.
You should probably examine it.

A farewell to you
No new lessons—just the invitation to leave behind what no longer serves us and step into a life we consciously choose.
“Is this truly mine…
or did I inherit it?”
That question changed my life.

The author
I'm Raffie.
I'm an observer of people, patterns, and the invisible beliefs that quietly shape our lives.
For decades, I've worked around people from dramatically different backgrounds—in hospitality, business, facilities, restaurants, private clubs, and environments where human behavior becomes difficult to hide.
Eventually, observing everyone else forced me to start observing myself.
That became Wake Up Call. I don't have all the answers. That's partly the point.
I believe some of the most meaningful conversations happen one-on-one, where honesty has room to breathe.
I'm still listening.
Still asking questions.
Still creating.
Still rebuilding parts of my own life.
And still becoming.
Why this book exists
The Advice That Started It
Before my grandfather passed, he gave me advice that eventually became part of the foundation of this book.
He told me that if I ever decided to rebuild myself, I should deliberately put myself in a situation I wouldn't want to remain in… and fight my way out.
So I did.
My story began with a towel. I found myself working a facilities job at a gym. Cleaning toilets. Locker rooms. Trash. Folding towels. Doing work most people would never notice.
Years later, I understood what my grandfather had been trying to teach me.
Dignity doesn't come from the work.
It comes from the person doing it.
The fight was never against the job. It was against the version of myself that believed I was too good for it.
